Relocating to Ireland
For nurses wishing to relocate from overseas, you need a minimum of 12 months experience before you can work in Ireland. However, it is possible to enter Ireland as a new graduate and work as a healthcare assistant until you have the required experience.
Applications can be accepted from nurses from a wide range of countries and nationalities. Nurses who have qualified within the EU and are EU citizens are immediately eligible. Non-EU nurses should contact us for further information on eligibility.
English language tests are not required but you must be able to prove at interview that you can read, write and speak English fluently.
